The application deadline for Robin Lane Apartments on Robin and Meadow Lanes is Wednesday, July 31.

An affordable housing complex called Robin Lane Apartments in Concord will begin occupancy in October, 2013.

A new apartment building due to open in October is offering 15 units of affordable housing for those who meet income eligibility requirements.

The deadline to submit an application for the complex at 1890 Robin Lane and 1149 Meadow Lane in Concord is this Wednesday, July 31.

Robin Lane Apartments is a 16 unit complex with five one bedroom units and 10 two bedroom units, and an onsite resident manager, according to the owning company, Satellite Affordable Housing Associates (SAHA), which is working in conjunction with the Contra Costa Mental Health Administration on the affordable housing project.

The five one bedroom units have special eligibility requirements, and are reserved for applicants who are homeless or at-risk of homelessness that have at least one individual in the household impacted by a serious mental health issue, according to Erica Fairchild, Leasing Coordinator for SAHA, in an email to Patch. The two bedroom units are offered at $1,000 per month and do not have any special requirements aside from income qualifications. The maximum income for a two-person household would be $35,700.

The apartments have spacious floor plans, according to the owners, and the site is served by several County Connection bus lines, including direct service to the Concord BART station. Each building has a laundry, off-street parking, and a landscaped community courtyard. Section 8 vouchers are accepted.
