Veterans Square is 100% supportive housing comprised of 30 units targeting households earning between 30% to 50% AMI in Old Town Pittsburg. The project will consist of a 3 story Type V-A building with a unit mix of 28 one-bedrooms and 2 two-bedroom apartments. One two-bedroom apartment will be designated for on-site management.
The City of Pittsburg Housing Authority will provide 29-project based vouchers. Nineteen of the units will serve homeless veterans through the HUD-VASH program. The remaining ten units will be set aside for homeless residents with serious mental illness through HCD’s No Place Like Home program. The ten NPLH units are restricted at 30% AMI.
The apartment provides 5 parking spaces onsite and 25 additional parking spaces in a 12,500 SF gated parking lot across the street from the project. Amenities include laundry rooms, community room, a spacious 4,186 SF outdoor courtyard with seating areas and planter boxes for community gardening.
