This fall is shaping up to be an important season for affordable housing in the Bay Area. With three bond measures on the ballot, a ground breaking, major awards, and a story in the New York Times, the staff at SAHA are working hard to raise awareness, funds, and support to meet the needs in the communities we serve. We hope we can count on your support!

Supporting our Senior and School-Age Residents
SAHA is kicking off a pilot food recovery program at three senior properties in collaboration with The New War on Poverty, the Alameda County Public Health Department, the Alameda County Community Food Bank, Daily Bread, and others, This pilot will explore methods for improving food security for seniors and also help inform the design of a county-wide approach to food recovery.
Starting school is a time of excitement, but for some it’s a time of great anxiety. SAHA recognizes that the right school supplies are critically important when it comes to setting up a child for success. Our annual back-to-school supplies drive kicked off in July. With the help of F&M Bank, Walgreens, SAHA’s staff, and community supporters, we distributed more than 250 bags of school supplies to our school-age residents.
