Admisibilidad

• Head of household must be 62 years or older at the time of application, or 18 or older at the time of application and have a disability.

The waiting list for studio and 1-bedroom units at Amistad House opens on March 10, 2026 at 9:00 AM. Applications will be available to submit online. A valid email address is required to apply online. Online applications must be submitted by 5:00 PM on March 24, 2026.

Applications will also be available online to print. Paper applications will be available to pick up at 2050 Delaware Street, Berkeley, CA 94709 at the following times:

• Monday: March 16, 23; 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Tuesday: March 10, 17, 24; 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Thursday: March 12, 19; 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Paper applications must be mailed to the address listed on the application. Applications submitted by mail must be received by the manager’s office by 5:00 PM on March 24, 2026.

A lottery will be conducted for all applications received by the deadline. The top 500 applications will be placed on the waiting list for consideration. If additional applications are needed, we reserve the right to process the next applications in lottery order.
