For properties currently accepting applications, see the property flyer for details on how to complete an application. Most applications are available to submit online. For applications submitted online, a valid email address is required to apply. These applications can be completed on a computer, tablet, or mobile smartphone. Persons with disabilities have the right to request reasonable accommodations to participate in the application process.

Off-street parking is limited, and is not guaranteed. If you are not assigned a parking space, you may request to be added to the parking lot waiting list.

Certain pets are allowed. Residents must apply, the animal must be approved, and there is a $200 pet deposit. For more detailed information, request to see a copy of SAHA’s pet policy using our contact form at sahahomes.org/contact.

Smoking is not allowed. For more detailed information, request to see a copy of SAHA’s Agreement Regarding No Smoking Policy through our contact form at sahahomes.org/contact.

The move-in costs include the first month’s rent and security deposit. The security deposit is no more than one month’s rent.

Once your name reaches the top of the waiting list, and a unit is available, you will receive a phone call and letter with instructions on how to schedule a certification interview. The letter includes a list of documents to bring to the certification interview. This list includes, but is not limited to, a state-issued picture identification for all adult household members, Social Security cards for all household members (if a social security number has been issued), birth certificates or custody agreement for all minor household members (17 years and under), proof of income, and proof of assets.

Waiting times vary, as it depends on waiting list size, and when current tenants move out.

It is our policy not to disclose to applicants their specific positions on the waiting list.

No. All households are welcome to apply for housing at SAHA.

However, some units receive rental assistance through Project-Based Vouchers, federal HUD funding, or similar programs. For these units, HUD requires us to verify citizenship or eligible immigration status. For these units, at least one person in the household must be a U.S. Citizen or national or fall within specified categories of non-citizens who have eligible immigration status. For these units, rental assistance will be pro-rated for any individual who is not a citizen, not a national, or does not possess eligible immigration status.

Yes. SAHA accepts Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher rental assistance and similar subsidies. However, some units already receive rental assistance through Project-Based Vouchers, federal HUD funding, or similar programs. For these units, HUD is required to terminate the tenant’s existing Housing Choice Voucher. Please contact the property manager for more details.

You will receive a letter in the mail regarding your waiting list status after the lottery has been completed. The lottery is usually completed within 3 weeks of the application deadline. If you have not heard anything after this time, please contact the property manager. You can find contact information for each property here: sahahomes.org/properties

For applications submitted online, you will receive an email confirmation when you submit your application. You will receive a letter in the mail regarding your waiting list status after the lottery has been completed. Once your name reaches the top of the waiting list, and a unit is available, we will contact you to schedule a certification interview. It is our policy to invite multiple households to start the qualification process. Housing will be offered to qualified households in waiting list order.

Each of our properties requires a separate application. You must apply separately to each property that interests you.

No. There is no need to apply immediately after the waiting list opens. A lottery will be conducted for all applications received by the deadline, unless otherwise noted on the property flyer.
