E12th Street Apartments is the new construction of an eight-story building to accommodate 95 units of large family affordable housing serving families earning between 30-60% of area median income with the following unit types: 21 studios, 20 1br units, 27 2br units, 26 3br units, and one (1) 3br manager’s unit. 19 of these units are set aside for “Special Needs” households experiencing homelessness, or at-risk of homelessness as defined by MHP Regulations Section 7301. SAHA is providing resident services, including case management for residents occupying Special Needs units. Services are optional and free-of-charge to the residents.

Overlooking Lake Merritt Blvd & E12th Street, with several neighborhood amenities in close proximity, the site is ideally located for family housing. The ground floor of the building has a mix of street-activating, resident and neighborhood serving uses including: property management and supportive services offices; cultural/community space to support resident and neighborhood artists; resident multipurpose space for group activities, classes; workshops; and flex community space that will be utilized by building residents as well as neighborhood groups. Landscaping and a resident courtyard are located on the first floor to add visibility and greenery for the residential uses along E12th Street.
